Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. The game is a combination of tennis, ping pong, racquetball among others. The game is played with a solid paddle and a plastic whiffle ball on a court about one fourth the size of a tennis court. The game is accessible to players of all ages. I’ve played with many players in their 60s and 70s as well as younger players as well. Many folks have come to pickleball after years of playing tennis. It’s a good workout and lots of fun.
Jim Binder and Erik Ing will teach beginning pickleball in Oakland. The courts are overlaid over the existing tennis courts. This location uses portable nets and provides paddles and balls for your use. We’ll teach the rules and scoring along with basic strategy in this two-hour session. We’ll also provide information on other places to play in the Bay Area.
After you complete this fun and informative session, we’re sure you’ll want to play more. if you’re not sure what Pickleball is, watch the following video: https://youtu.be/Se7wIlGeo_o
