Robert has once again offered to host an Academy Awards party at his home in the Willow Glen area of San José. This will a joint event with SF Asians & Friends for a total of 30 people.
We will mingle, sip cocktails, and enjoy appetizers among friends. While we watch the celebrities arrive on the red carpet, we will fill out ballots with our Oscar winner guesses. As the show proceeds, we will watch with anticipation as we hear those famous words, “And the Oscar goes to.…” At the end of the evening, a prize will be awarded to the guest with the most correct guesses. Come and root for your favorite actors, song, movie, and director!
This is a potluck, so everyone is asked to bring a prepared dish that can be shared among 4-5 persons. Don’t forget to bring a serving utensil. The kitchen will be available for food storage and preparation. Please note that just sodas, chips, crackers, and cookies are not prepared dishes.

Last Name Starts With
A-J: Salads, side dishes, vegetables
K-S: Entrees or main dishes
T-Z: Desserts
Feel free to bring your favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage for yourself or to share. Bottled water will be available. Robert will provide vodka, gin, vermouth, mixers, and garnishes for those who would like to enjoy a martini or cocktail.
A $2 donation is requested from each person to help with expenses, however, if you don’t bring a dish, it is $20.
The address and any additional information will be provided in a reminder letter before the event to those who are signed up.
